Kathi's Bio This is all I do! It is my occupation and I love my job. For over twenty years I've been on the receiving end of massage and bodywork and found it to be of great benefit. As our 'farm' is home to ten horses and five dogs of varying ages and workloads, I knew they would benefit as well, and they do! I utilize the pre and post event massage and acupressure routines on our competing horses. I utilize acupressure work on all the horses. I have also found both active and passive stretching to be of great benefit. When our border collies stand still long enough they receive the benefits of massage and bodywork as well. To date, I have completed over 600 hours of formal training related to Equine and Canine Massage, Acupressure and other modalities. I'm a graduate of East West Healing Arts Institute with over 835 hours of Human Massage and Acupressure training. This provides me the opportunity to focus my Massage, Acupressure and Bodywork sessions on horse and rider teams. I am also an instructor for the Tallgrass Animal Accupressure Institute. This allows me to combine my past experience with adult training and learning with my passion for teaching about and sharing acupressure and its benefits. Coincident with my formal training I've worked on hundreds of equine clients, ranging from pasture pals to national champions. The majority of my human clients tend to be equestrians who are interested in enhancing their riding comfort and performance. I continue to pursue formal training related to the above modalities and learn from every horse and human I have the pleasure of working on. I welcome the chance to work with you and your equine.
